In this case, on May 5th, we shared information with KPBS Evening Edition to follow up on their original story, &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kpbs.org\/news\/2021\/may\/03\/business-loans-went-wealthy-north-county-neighborh\/\" title=\"Businesses In San Diego\u2019s Majority White Communities Received By Far The Most PPP Loans\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Businesses In San Diego\u2019s Majority White Communities Received By Far The Most PPP Loans<\/a>&#8220;, which aired on May 3rd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We hoped KPBS would help us to inform the public in a timely manner about the difficulty of navigating the PPP program especially for minority owned and small businesses. Due to other media demands, KPBS was not able to publish this at an earlier date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After many hours of work in reaching out to SBA banks, agents, and bank VIPs, Makello was able to secure grant funds. These funds are allowing us to reach out to underserved communities with an <a href=\"https:\/\/makello.com\/blog\/energy-upgrades-lifeline\/\" title=\"Are You In Need of an Energy Upgrades LIFELINE?\">Energy Upgrades Lifeline<\/a>, that will provide <a href=\"https:\/\/www.makello.com\/solar-panels.html\" title=\"You don't need a ton of solar panels to save money!\">solar power<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.makello.com\/plug-in-vehicles.html\" title=\"Faster, quieter, cheaper, cleaner\">plug-in vehicle<\/a>s, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.makello.com\/energy-storage.html\" title=\"Power WHEN you want it WHERE you want it\">storage solutions<\/a> for eligible customers, to improve cash flow.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We know other business owners were shut out of PPP loans.
