Rancho Santa Fe

Rancho Santa Fe is a census designated place nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the mountains. It is a beautiful community with many trees, orchards, magnificent homes, and horse stables. It is primarily residential, but there are many restaurants and some shopping centers in the area as well. There are many private estates here, and it is common for homes to be on large properties. There is a large Spanish influence on the design of the homes here. Rancho Santa Fe covers about 7 square miles and has a population of about 5,000.

Communities

Rancho Santa Fe is amongst the most beautiful and wealthiest communities in the nation. Rancho Santa Fe is a suburban community with primarily single family homes. Many residents own lavish homes, and there are many upscale salons, fitness centers, and retail stores. Homes are in older neighborhoods and have some of the highest home values in the nation. There are also many gated communities here and some condos and townhomes. The zip codes in Rancho Santa Fe are 92014, 92067, 92091, and 92127.

People

Rancho Santa Fe residents are highly educated, and extremely successful in their careers. Over a third of residents have a postgraduate degree, and many operate their own businesses or have consulting roles. They earn more than three times the US average annual income, from wages, salaries, self employment, and investments. They are socially responsible and make time for family and close friends. Married couples without children or with older children are common residents in Rancho Santa Fe. People are healthy and environmentally conscious, and they enjoy variety in life. They read, attend fine arts, events, cook, and enjoy expanding their knowledge.

Environment

Fortunately, Rancho Santa Fe has low air pollution scores as calculated by CalEnviroScreen. Areas with high pollution scores are more vulnerable to pollution related issues, and high rates of dust and pollen particles may help the spread of viruses. However, some areas lie in high fire threat districts. These environmental qualities could qualify some residents for rebates and incentives for Solar Power, Plug-In Vehicles (and EV Charging), or Energy Storage installations, lowering the cost of these installations.
