Sorrento Valley is in the northern boundary of the city limits, located about 17 miles north of downtown San Diego. Sorrento Valley was originally zoned off for industrial use, but it has become a desired destination for residential use. It is a well known center for high tech, scientific research, and biotechnology, with companies such as Qualcomm having their headquarters here. Freeways are in close proximity, and there is a train station as well, offering a variety of options for transportation. Sorrento Valley is in close proximity to many beaches, parks, and preserved areas so residents can enjoy the wonderful outdoors.  <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
