Vista is a city 7 miles inland that occupies about 19 square miles and has a population of just over 100,000. The State Route 78 runs through the city, allowing good access to coastal areas off the I-5 and inland areas of the I-15. Vista is an excellent place to enjoy outdoor activities with its wonderful year round weather and location in the rolling hills. There are two theaters in Vista, as well as botanical gardens and historical museums.
